I appreciate your optimism, but the "new" pump does not improve the crickets. My 2014 has the "new" pump. I have crickets. Most of us do. They are just as loud as the old crickets.

Chevron and 76 do not necessarily get rid of crickets. I have found that Chevron in my area is usually quieter than Shell, but it's not consistent from station to station. The only thing that is consistent is that if I fill up at Sam's Club (Murphy Oil), the crickets will scream like nothing you've ever heard.

I found an ethanol-free station. Ethanol-free gas did not exterminate the crickets. Some people have had good luck with it, but my car is living proof that it's not a reliable solution.

Enjoy your crickets when they come, which they inevitably will. Just relax and imagine yourself out on the porch at dusk with an adult beverage.
LOL ok...I have plenty adult beverages at the ready for when it happens. I believe I am almost at 300 miles now so I'll listen for em.

Don't recall this being covered in this thread but for those with 10series/monograms/rs, this worked for my monogram.

Changes setting so that when you walk near the car, both doors are unlocked instead of just driver.

S-Off = Tachometer needle will not move when car is started.

Also, if you're in a BRZ Limited then you will need to set the alarm manually if the dealership did not do it for you:
1) Get in the car
2) press the start/stop button two times, with makes the car to be in the start position (all your dash lights light up)
3) Lock the car with the physical button on the door
4) Press the unlock button on the door and open the door while still pressing the unlock door button.
5) Still pressing the unlock button, wait about 10 seconds, the car will beep once for activated and twice for deactivated and the information panel in the cluster will say either "AL on" or "AL off"
I just tried this on my Series.Blue and nada. It's a '15 if that matters. I waited probably 30 seconds and it still didn't work. I wonder if it's because I pulled the HU.

If there was a steering wheel available with switches I'd do this in a heartbeat.

Holy shit, that's what that is? It engages almost immediately after I shift in to a gear and apply the fun pedal. I figured it was just letting me know I upshifted...

Just for jokes try shifting when it tells you. I did once and it was hilarious. I am sure you get great mileage but sooooo boring.

I thought it was a recommended point to shift so I did. Now for 1 less gallon per mile, I get to apply fun pedal a lot more

On the other hand, I prefer to use my key fob, because the less I have to touch my dirty road-grimed trunk lid, the better.
Feel for the correct spot, and up she comes

I also tried to turn on the alarm with this method on my FR-S RS 1.0 and was not able to get it working either. Through sheer happenstance, what I found out to work for me was:

1. While holding down the driver side unlock button, open the door by pulling the handle.
2. Continue to both hold down the unlock button AND continue pulling the door handle all the way for 10 seconds after the door has been opened.
3. Hear horn sound once and and the dash will say "AL on"

I should warn you that if you want to turn your alarm on and off multiple times in one sitting, that it may not always register and to keep trying.

For the people who didn't realise the screwdriver was reversible.

Go put it back where you found it, you probably shouldn't be using tools...

If you put a cute girl in the front seat, and her cockblocking friends in the back seats, the back seat discomfort delivery system will activate and cause them to abandon their friend.

Check, and mate.

I turned this feature on about 2 days ago and have been shifting when the indicator flashes almost every time. My avg fuel economy has dropped by .1

I didn't do it long enough to see any impact on fuel.
Felt to much like I was playing a really sad version of Guitar Hero trying to hit shifts at the brief arrow that flashed up!
