All you need is Stg 1 kit, 2 1/2" or 3" full exhaust, 8psi actuator and boost solenoid and call it done. It will also depend what fuel you have on pump gas 91oct or 93oct. No need for injectors, pump or E85. As long as you have a good tune on either 91 but preferably 93oct you'll have your goal. You can get a hold of @DeliciousTuning and maybe he has access to my old tunes that had that power on 91oct. But trust me once you get their you will want more and that's where the other parts come in. With my current setup I am pushing 419whp and 356wtq on E85 14-16psi. This is where you need to start playing with boost by gear, traction is no longer in my cars vocabulary.

That is definitely not what the original AVO thread says in the first post. They were very proud of the 6K+ miles of development they have on their 'base' map. For people who don't care about making 300 hp this is one of the best parts of this - I just want more torque without the horrible stock dip. If I can hit 175 ftlb of flat torque I'm calling it a day and will focus on other aspects of the car.

The basemap is a safe, reliable tune that will work with 91 octane gas. It won't make the most power because it is not designed for that. Think of it as the stock tune, except for a turbo model. The stock tune was designed to work in all sorts of conditions, and so is our base map.
And just like tuning a stock car, you can make more power if you decide to tune it further than that base map. |

So I want to purchase this avo stage 1 kit with the 8psi actuator and 2.5 bar map. I have a perrin 3" catback exhaust resonated with stock everything else. Should I purchase the 3 inch front pipe combo by Avo for 1000$ or just stick with the stock or try any other alternate? I'm just looking for some feedback on if the 3" overpipe is really worth the extra versus say 2.5". 1000$ just seems really high but if that's what it takes then by all means. Btw I plan on trying to keep the vehicle stock as best as I can without spending an arm and a leg on upgrades. I know this has been beating hard but I'm still a noob and would love personal feedback or advice for this. Thank you guys.

I havr the 2.5" fp/op probably make a few extra ponies with the 3" ... @protpibe just just upgraded to 3" he should have better input on the difference.

The turbo spool is instantaneous with the larger downpipe and catless 3" setup. As a result, midrange torque is also instant. I highly recommend it if you have a spare $1000 burning a hole in your pocket.

Has anyone had any issues with the fitment of the nameless 2.5" catback with their 2.5" downpipe on the avo kit? |
