Rocket Bunny B Pillars??

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that most of the Japanese built RB's have no substantial B pillar on the body? Do they cut them out over there or is it just a simple case of CGI??

I think the body looks great with the almost pillar-less look, but wonder if it would detract from the rigidity?

Take a look here, you'll see what I mean..

I think it's just the CG rendering. Here's the RB creator himself Kei Miura with a physical example of the RB V2.

hmm but that does look like the B pillar is gone. Possibly they removed it because its fully caged out, + harness bar so you won't need a B pillar mount for the seat belt.
In event of rollover the cage would take care of that...

That's exactly what I was thinking. In the pic above, we can see that this car doesn't even have aftermarket brakes, so it may be a "budget build" whereas the others are all out race cars????

The glass was replaced, there is no silk screen blackout frame, like on the OEM rear quarter glass. Being all clear, makes the B pillar looks a lot thinner. With the cage, I'd bet the glass was replaced with lexan.

I know what you're saying guys, they will have replaced the glass with Lexan.

The point I am making is the stock bodyshell has a great big fabricated pillar behind that silkscreen blackout area.

Or like I said. You can cut out the pillar since the structure of the car is braced with a full cage and harness bar. It could compromise rigidity of the body though. Unless there's some hidden reinforcement. Can do anything with enough money.
