Please see my OP. Carlos mentions he doesn't think they will get to dealers until another month from now. I think that is because they will not release them from "port inspection and certification" until the entire batch is done. This is more than likely the case as they have to sign off with the transport company for insurance and liability reasons if it is indeed the reason I am thinking.

As for the background cars, I think the one raised wiper blade means that car is complete and signed for. Although I admit I loled at the creative response above.

Finally, I think I know which yard this is. I am going to head that way now and see if I can't verify my thoughts.

Cool.

But isn't it kind of odd that they are doing port inspection in Houston rather than the port that they landed at (West coast, I'm assuming)? I figured that they would do them there and then send em out, but maybe they had to move cars off the port because of more cars coming in behind them...

Houston is used as a car port for the Gulf States. It is quicker and cheaper to do it that way for the Southeast of the country then truck them all across from the West. At least that is my guess.

If it is where I think it is, no, it is behind a fence in a gated area. Carlos works at Gulf State Toyota. Hence why he was able to get those close up shots.

I can confirm that the FR-S cars are at Gulf States Toyota here in Houston! I work at IAH, which is just around the corner, so I took a little spy trip to see for myself. The GST facility is huge so it took several slow passes down various streets before I was able to spot them. I only saw three; two black and one silver. The others were probably blocked by the train cars that brought them in. I was hoping to see my Asphalt. Looks like I'm going to have to wait a couple more weeks!
