I installed my Fujitsubo bumper cover today after much fussing, moaning, and groaning about having to drill three holes into the bumper cut out where it is to be installed. The instructions were all in Japanese, but the template and pictures were helpful, and the install was more or less intuitive.

I'm really happy with the quality of this item, and how it turned out after I took a chance with ordering one - even though I was not able to find a lot of information, or any sort of decent real-world images of it. I really like that the main material is a perforated mesh that allows you to see the parts of the car, and the exhaust through it, and it should help keep some of the heat out to boot!

Honestly with all the variables (cars, barriers, speed etc.. ) During the trip nobody complained or high beamed. Just make sure your lights are not angled too high. (Which mine were)

Pretty fun upgrade for $70....if they last longer than a year I'll be happy....sylvania zxe bulbs cost the same.
the weight of the ballast on the bulb can end pretty badly i think.

Could be... The fitment is really tight and the ballasts aren't that heavy...they snap in. I'm pretty nitpicky about stuff. But honestly after the install it wasn't even a concern.

Only time will tell.

Since we're on the subject, how well do hids perform in the factory headlights? I know to bend down the "squirrel finders" but I'm wanting to change mine to 5-6 k hids but wonder would they improve night vision or just look better, lol

This is my personal opinion after just making the switch. When I had the yellowish stock halogens on, I didn't notice that my left headlight was actually angled twice as high as the right.

Once I installed the HID kit, My first reaction was. Oh man I am lighting up everything, and realised that the left was higher and needed adjustment.

For me I noticed a difference immediately. The yellow light kind of blended into the night environment, especially if there are yellowish street lights.

Maybe on paper or technical stats not so much.....but in real world use and for my eyes....big change.

most modern projectors in cars work fairly well with HIDs. the exception being the squirrel finders. all the toyotas ive worked with have very good projectors with HIDs.
