Yes, I believe it uses the same base. While the seat is in the car, however, the passenger seat will have to be set forward. This brings the headrest into your view when you look to the right, but if you're anything like me, you'll get used to it quickly and its not truly a problem.

Well given that the only other option I've found is a $300 cybex this is indeed good news. Which seat do you have, exactly? And I've been rolling with kids in the car since I bought it, the head rest is no big/used to it, hell, might just take it out/leave it in the trunk.

I don't know the exact model, but they're going to range around the same sizes, I'd imagine.

I'm strongly leaning towards the Cybex Aton Q. A bit pricey at $350 but the safety features seem promising.

I was able to fit a Graco Click Connect 30 rear facing seat behind the front passenger seat. The extension of the rear facing seat combined with the canopy on top means that there is very little legroom and inclination possible for the front passenger.

This has not been a problem as my wife prefers to sit behind me and travel next to the baby. Being on the shorter side with me at 5'6 and wife at 5'4, this has been pretty doable.

So far, the BRZ baby experience has been much better than I expected!

I have a Graco click connect as well. Works great. Nobody of any normal size would want to sit in the front seat with it in, though.

Add me to the list of Graco 30 owners. Behind the passenger with someone behind the driver is the ONLY configuration unless the person sitting in front of the baby is into s&m.

I don't know why the OP was giving ashtray some 'tude when ashtray was being diplomatic about calling the OP a less-than-responsible-person for wanting to squeeze his pregnant wife into the front passenger seat with his 3 year old behind her. My baby momma is only 5ft tall and she had her seat pushed all the way back and had to sit on a pillow in order to be somewhat comfortable(she never was). There is absolutely no way that there could be anyone sitting behind her.

If I could go back in time, I would get a Nuna Pipa. The base has the latch system for easy installation/removal and the actual carrier is 1 inch less deep than the Graco 30. Only catches are that it costs $300 and your baby will sweat like a mofo in it.

Actually my comment was less about the pregnant wife and more matter of fact that an infant seat can't fit behind the driver. You CAN put two kids in the back, but the 3yr old has to fit behind the driver.

Secondary comment was about not wanting a 3yr old behind the driver - bc with a newborn, they will turn 3 in about 3yrs after birth - so if the plan was not to ever have a 3yr old behind the driver, that plan would last 3 yrs at most.

Knowing plenty of people with two little ones, a 4 door car just makes everything easier for the next 10 years+. Otherwise, baby in rear passenger side is only option.

My wife is 5'3 and fits fine in front of my 3 year old in the Radian RXT. When his legs get long enough for his knees to reach the edge there will be even more room.

I am 5'10 and I tested with my seat pushed up to the where I keep the passenger seat. It wasn't the most comfy but I can handle the 5 minute trips to the sitter and school. For any trips with the wife we will be in her car.

For those who do have a child seat in the back (I have a Chicco keyfit 30), how are you guys dealing with keeping the passenger seat forward when loading the back seat? I've been using a bungie cord attached to on of the head rest posts and tethering it down to the underside of the glove compartment, but there's gotta be a better way...

My leg / Arm?

All you gotta do is get the tiny human in the car and click them into the base and reverse when you arrive. Should only take 5 seconds. Literally.

But isn't the Kid already in the seat? And you just have to click it into the base?
Or does the seat stay 100% in the car?

In that case - NOPE Lol - I'll drive the RAM that day.
