It's not a very loud rattle. I'm taking it to a shop that has a lift tomorrow so I can install the rear shifter bushing. So I have to go back through and take it apart. I'll check then

try unscewing the shift knob, then remove the screw that it screws onto using an allen key. fill that hole with grease, it really helped my rattle.

After using it for 2 years it is still a very mechanical feel but it has loosened up to actuate in a smooth and predictable way. It no longer has the notchyness that it had at first and doesn't catch when trying to engage a gear. I use my car on track and in autocross and enjoy the shifter very much. After going and trying a stock shifter it's like throwing a hot dog down a hallway compared to the short shifter.

Hey

Just recently installed the kartboy short shifter and the rear shifter bushing. For the first 50 km are so t was perfect. But I am not sure why but I started to feel small sloppiness when in gear and when in neutral. This video shows what I am talking about. Another question is , when you launch your car hard. Does your shifter shake a lot. With the stock shifter its used to , but with the kart boy it stopped at first but now its back to the OEM style vibration. Would ADDING another washer fix this? I want to confirm before i remove all the panels.
