It might be a defective cabin temp sensor, but if the outside temp is very low, the system may just be [over]compensating for that. In my personal experience, this automatic climate control does tend to do that. I run 74 degrees in the summer, as lower than that freezes me out, and 68 in the winter once the car is up to temp, as it tends to blow very hot.

Hi, we have the same problem. Just realize mine last week. Did you go to the dealer and have it check

No I have not. Summer came around and temperature seemed to work itself out to normal. Not sure what issue was.

Has anyone here felt that the dual zone climate control temp is WAYYYYY off?

like, I keep mine at 62 and i swear it is similar to 72 in ANY other car I have been in.

If i put it at 70, it feels like i'm in an oven.

any input?
I'm from Canada, so I don't know the equivalent, but when mine is on low or 19, it's cold, as soon as I hit 20 or higher it turns into an oven as well.

I'm no expert on these things, but I've noticed all the same things already mentioned, especially when it is cold outside. It makes me wonder if the temperature you set is relative to the outside air temperature, and not the inside temperature. Does anyone know if there is a temperature sensor in the cabin, or no?

If it is still under warranty, take to dealer run diagnostic test. I think it is either temp sensor or solar sensor malfunction

Wow, I've been a licensed HVAC engineer for over 25 years, with auto a/c ASI certification, and I never heard that one!

All auto A/C systems are sealed systems.

In the winter my temperature is set to 22 (72), and my wife likes about 23-24 depending on the length of the trip, and how sunny the day. In the summer I have to set it to about 19.5 (67F). I blame the settings on poor vehicle insulation (inherent to all but the highest end vehicles).

Fwiw, I have 30% ceramic tint.
