Nice to see you're back on, I'm new here but I've been hearing all about those guys at meets. I just started my LED swap, I've done the center counsel and the gauge cluster, just need to do the doors and the radio this weekend. I'll pm you some of the questions I have.

Just a heads up but the whole door panel needs to be removed to get to the switches in the doors. I learned that last night.

Thanks I had it all removed when I realized they weren't the same LEDs as the rest of the car are they 0603s? I just got them in and they look way smaller than what I remember them being.

Since my BRZ is DD I haven't taken the doors apart yet. That will happen this weekend

Also the 2013 BRZ service manual that is linked in the forums here is a great resource for easy disassembly. (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8448)

DIY - Gauge Cluster LED swap

Yeah. The LEDs for the interior dimmer and headlight adjust were also different. They were the standard dome LEDs.

Also the trunk release is a tiny 603 smd. The 603 is smaller than what is needed for the Blue.Series head unit, but decided to just use them for the head unit anyways. So far so good. Just have the 4 around the volume knob left to do.

Do you mind posting up a picture of the head unit disassembled? I just ordered the 0805 which are still tiny but the next size up from the 0603. Were the 0603s smaller than the old ones on the doors as well or did they seem to fit better than they did in the HU??

I will post a pic after work tonight. I have not opened the doors up yet. The HU LEDs are smaller than the LEDs for the rest of the center console and gage cluster.
