I didn't modify that file at all and it works perfectly. The only thing that I could see to modify in that file was the version number, and I tried it both ways with no difference at all.

Also running it on Win7 Pro X64 with the help of this thread http://www.toyota-4runner.org/genera...-8-64-bit.html

I honestly don't remember what I did. Let me get home tonight and I'll look back through it and see what I did. I believe Fika is correct in saying you don't actually edit the file. But the problem was elsewhere

Ok thanks for all guys.It works.

Ive forgot to change this:

CHANGE TISFunction-=1 to 0

And the best is it runs with an original Toyota Vim Interface.
The next step for me is an Win x64 System with an 25$ Mini VCI.

You're welcome! Glad you got it working. It's nice being able to modify the nit picky things without going to the dealership!

This is hopefully a generic enough question to go here.

I have a Toyota MRS EHPS wired up by itself. I have the CAN and K lines hooked up, and power/ground to an OBD plug. Will Techstream recognize it and talk to just it, or does it need to be on a CAN network with the car's ECU to get past the car selection screen and such?

Thanks.

I have having problems. Has anyone tried to use techstream with an ecuteh tune installed. All the custom fields come up yellow unavailable.

Could it be that because I am using the tactrix op2 instead of the Chinese j2534?

Never mind. Sometimes the tactrix op2 cable is just picky. I tried it again and it worked fine. I didn't have to update any drivers just plugged it in and connect.

Is there a manual explaining how to use Techstream? Alternatively, can someone please tell me with you can reprogram the automatic transmission with Techstream? In particular, can you change shift points?

Thanks!

Toyota TechStream is software used at a dealership. So it does not include performance features. It's mostly used to reprogram keys, disable key chimes, and monitoring the status of the vehicle.
