Just to add my particular fuel to the fire. I have had a Moroso breather can attached to the oil scavenge tank breather line since the turbo was installed roughly a year ago. I check it every once in a while. It has remained bone dry the entire time. When the motor is running, you can actually feel a vacuum pulled on the line from the scavenge pump.

Is it fine to run just one catch can ,catching the blow from the rear crankcase, with this kit?

@Astroboy My OCD prevents me from running one can, but I suppose it's possible. One can is better than no can I guess? I would run it on the PCV over the breather for sure since it typically sees the most being pushed through to it.
A small update on the 3" upgrade over the weekend. The install was a piece of cake, relatively. My fear was that I was going to have to drop the turbo and header down off of the car to get the down pipe off, but that's not the case. If anyone else is doing this upgrade, just remove the fender splash shield that your skid plate attaches to and you should be fine. You'll need a small wrench or a crows foot to get at one of the bolts when putting the new down pipe on, but the old one comes off quite easy. Also, you'll need to jack the motor up way more than you would have to for a 2.5" overripe install, but it does go in quite easy. I ended up removing both motor mounts to get it up high enough. And finally, fi anyone is wondering what the tab on the 3" overripe bolts to, it's a header stud. You basically just unbolt the header stud, slide it on, then bolt it back down again. EASY! The fit and finish is good IMO. The only issue i"m having is that it seems like my exhaust was pushed back very slightly, but it's a Perrin 3" which is adjustable so I'll just need to tweak it a bit. I'm now running a full 3" setup from turbo back with no catalytic converters or resonators and it sounds UNREAL. It's very deep with very little rasp to it. I absolutely love it. Also, the turbo spools unbelievably quick now. Spool starts at around 2100rpm, and it's instantaneous between shifts. Highly recommended! Here's a comparison between the two exhausts: ![]() ![]()

Nice to hear. I've been driving with my kit for 3k miles with no catch can at all until just last month when finally decided to invest in one. And just today I placed an order for another radium can for my intake blow by. But what about the oil reservoir? Am I suppose to like drain what ever gets in there our just leave it as is? The vent hose will take care of any gasses that escape through that route. Tee that reservoir hose into one of the catch can hoses and good to go.

Yeah you can tee the oil reservoir vent and the drivers side vent by the throttle body.
After looking at the vent reservoir, my guess is that it's to equalize the pressure before and after the scavenging pump. I don't think much oil, if any, comes out of the vent hose.If you want to keep it simple, you can always run the vent line up above the reservoir and stick a filter on it.

To anyone else running the 3" turbo back setup without catalytic converters, are you getting boost creep?
The temp recently dropped here to about 10 degrees celcius, so it may be compounding the issue, but after installing the 3" turbo back setup from AVO, my boost creeps about 3psi over whatever it's set to as it reaches redline. My wastegate now goes from 7psi @ about 3000rpm to just under 10 by the time it redlines. If you experieenced this, how did you deal with it?
