Just proves my point that the designers will decide what is "best" for us and eventually change the whole works to a different handling and performing car. Sometimes those changes are for the better but sometimes they just plain suck! How much seat time do you have in any year of the car? Mine is two months old and has 8000 miles on it already (all by me) so I would think I just might have a better grasp on the driving dynamics of the vehicle. |

And according to the rumour mill so was the 14 and then the 15! There is absolutely zero official statements that there will EVER be a turbo/supercharger on these cars.
(Unless you were being ironic and knew that already. Hard to tell in writing) |

I mentioned that the current model (spec C) is the middle life model. Any serious changes in the life of a car are always done by Subaru during the middle life. Then we have a new generation. In the past they even changed the entire engine! People think that this might not be the case for the twins, because they saw limited changes this year. So, they incorrectly think that the changes will come the next manufacturer year. This is wrong based on the history and the current spec.
Of course, exceptions can always exist. Management might decide differently. If you want definite answers just wait a bit. Last edited by nikitopo; 09-30-2014 at 12:42 PM. |

I'd be shocked if we don't see a 2.5L by 2017. (Or at least an option) I HIGHLY doubt we will see any forced induction but a bump in displacement seems like a no brainer here.

There are probably 100 or more threads on here about how to INCREASE the over steer! Apparently there was a "consensus" that I missed someplace. My theory has always been that they designed the first couple of model years for the FRS with the handling tweaked for the enthusiast with every intention of dumbing it down later for the "general public". It is not like after a couple of years they suddenly went "OH shit we screwed up better fix that" (or the equivalent Japanese translation). They knew perfectly well what they were doing. It also explains why the BRS was different right from the start as it gave people the option. Now they are done trying to cater to the enthusiast crowd and will turn the car into something more suitable for the masses. |

No, they just wanted to have a kind of differentiation. That's why they had different suspension settings. FRS was focused to the younger generation and Subaru to the most grown ups. And besides the differences were not so many. You had to go close to the limit and even then it wasn't very clear. Now, they don't care anymore to differentiate it because the car is in its latest years. It is preparing to die. Everyone says that it is not selling anymore. That's why we have so many "limited edition" models.
