Played with wheelhaus a bit yesterday. It was fun. Missed an invite from andrew, but I was pretty tired :P.

Got my Titan from lvl 17 to 25 (almost 26) last night. So my farming skill has increased dramatically! :P

True, in fact I have pretty much solo'd everything so far. With that being said, when you do the Vanguard strikes where the game assigns you a random strike and pairs you with two other random people, I see no way around this unless you are saying to just grind away on the different planets and get to those missions/strikes on your own but then the actual strike mission per planet assigns you 2 other Guardians randomly doesn't it? Man, sometimes I feel like I'm dumb trying to keep all this stuff straight. I also feel like I'm not progressing as fast as I should. I mean, considering the amount of time I have played I feel like I've done decent in reaching lvl 20, but I've noticed I still can't buy any of the Legendary gear/weapons because my Vanguard rank is still too low. Maybe I need to start playing the Crucible more etc. So far I've pretty much focused on the PvE stuff and solo'ing my way around.

I was 22 almost all last week. I got to 22 and hit a wall until I grabbed legendaries from the Queen missions. I've hit a second wall at 25. There's progression, but there's a bit of luck thrown in as well. You should be doing weeklies and dailies if you can. I try to solo them but sucks when I run out of secondary ammo and can't bust shields any longer. At that point I generally call it quits or call in the regulars for my fireteam.

Work on the Vanguard reputation, that's how I finally broke past level 24. Blues don't cut it anymore, you need purples to get past 24 and that's the only guaranteed way to get them. Do all the daily Vanguard bounties, do tons of patrols, farm public events in Russia. You'll get there quicker than you think.

I'll help you if you want, working on level 3 so I can buy some good weapons.

Queen's stuff is good for purples too, helmet or chest is guaranteed, but i think you have to be like lvl24 don't you?

The missions are level 24. You can get in at 21 I would think, but it's going to be hard as shit since everything has the epic modifier on top of the %penalty to damage dealt and taken. Shields are impenetrable unless you have a secondary/heavy weapon with that damage type.

Anyone seen a raid? I saw a few small clips it looks really crazy, all sorts of stuff going on, no wonder so many people died lol. Definitely need good coordination to pull it off.

If anyone needs help on any missions just invite me.I need help too sometimes haha especially those friggin weekly strikes when they give all the grunts ridiculous shielding. Otherwise I'll be building up a warlock too now since I got an exotic helmet for one. Bladedancer is at 26 almost 27 if I farm a little more for materials. Should make an 86 clan? 86Domination? 86Gunners?

Raid isn't bad. Just need people who know how to keep their mouth shut and listen (listening and hearing are two different things).

When you listen, you pay attention and absorb knowledge. Many people listen until they have a question. So they stop listening and focus on their question. When this happens one of two things are the outcome:
1: They interrupt the speaker and disrupt the entire audience.
2: They wait for when the time to ask questions come, and ask a question that would have been answered if they just listened to begin with.

Here is some advice for first time raiders (in any game). Listen to instructions. Listen. Don't do what I listed.

After listening, if you still have a question or are unsure about something, ask. (Many times this goes back to number 2, and If you were listening your question was probably answered already)

Pretty much this boils down to efficiency. If it takes 1 hour to explain something, and another hour to complete a task because someone really didn't understand it really brings down the moral and focus of the raid.

Levels matter due to the handicap for being below and the bonus for being above. But that doesn't mean it can't be done if you are the bare minimum. If someone tells you that you are too low, either A: They are not good enough to pick up the slack or B: They are just being elitests.

Rocket Launchers are NOT good weapons on bosses. Their spike damage is great. Their sustained DPS is less than an Automatic rifle. (meaning you will do more damage with an automatic rifle in 30 seconds than you will do with a rocket launcher in 30 seconds).

The bosses have rage timers so high DPS is what you want. Not high spike damage (Ohh look at the pretty numbers).

VoG can be done in less than 1.5 hours if you know what you are doing.


Above all else, if you do not have fun with the fireteam you raid/play with, you are not going to enjoy raiding. Play with people you have fun with. Its a game.
