I sure am glad miners are dumping their cards. Gonna try to pick up a 290 for ~200-250 bucks.

I'll probably switch to that too.

What exactly is Scrypt-A.-Nf? It's yielding the highest gain. Is that algo used for the ASIC miners?

So I picked up a 280x for stupid cheap on ebay and it's going into my gaming box. My unlocked 6950 is going to my wife, so the question I have is, is it worth it for me to take her 6870 and mine with it? I have a spare computer sitting here and was curious about dipping my toes into the water, really. I can throw it in the garage so noise isn't an issue because jeez XFX made a loud 6870. I'll be glad it's not in the office anymore, that's for sure.

6870 isn't particularly powerful, and sucks a lot of energy, you can mine with it, to get familiar with the whole mining concept, but there are coins that you can't mine with a 6XXX series...

I have a old 5770 that I replaced because I was getting artifacts on the screen. Is it possible to use this to mine?

Edit: also have a couple dozen low power Quadro 400s, setting those up together be worth it?

if its artifacting, it won't work... Quadro 400... I have no idea... but nvidia is far behind at mining unless its the latest 750ti
