If you're into it, that's all that matters. However it does nothing to keep your brake temps low, that cover is purely cosmetic. Heat is generated from the braking process and that cover keeps the heat from escaping as quickly. If less brake dust is escaping, so is less heat.

Paint the stock calipers? You can even do it with them still on the car if you mask properly. And yes you will take a lot of heat for those covers at a car meet.

If i wanted to take some side skirts to a body shop to get painted, what color code would i give them to make sure the color would match as much as possible. They wouldn't be able to go by just the subaru color code, C7p, would they?

I guess it would depend on the shop if they have a database and would know what exact shade of red would match c7p.
