But if we don't tell the world about how we lost a street race to a TC, then how will our legend live on?!

One time I raced my friend down the street and lost because I ran out gas.

My legs sure were tired...

This is hilarious how so many of you guys are delusional about the car you drive and talk about racing and dragging off the red light. Lets face it we drive a 2.0 4 cyl engine with less than 200 horses going to the wheels, it aint no Ferrari. Drive safely and maturely people.

Let's put it this way. Most people driving sport cars are like some college kids at the bar. How often you turn down a drink?

LOL I'd hardly call a Scion TC and FR-S doing a pull from a stop light on a road with a speed limit of 55mph street racing.

Like everyone said we dont have race cars I'm sure anyone in eyeshot had a good laugh at two very slow moving vehicles.

Actually had an unexpected race a few weeks ago. Where my subdivision turns in there are 2 left turn lanes at the light.

Well I always take the right outside lane and normally really fast so i can get the jump on other cars. This was on my way to work, so it was still early.

Well, a baller in a top of the line turbo veloster thought he'd decide to challenge me at the light, but I guess he didn't think I was gonna take off going INTO the turn instead of at the straight, so I had him beat at the jump.

He was starting to pull on me but luckily there was another slower car in his lane and he had to let off.

I don't condone it, but it was some unexpected fun.

I got wasted by a modified 300ZX twice at two red lights. Neither of us clutch dumped but he spooled up a bit before take off. That precious time let me get a ways ahead but it wasn't that long before the whoosh, errrcchhh, whoooosshhhh errrccchhhh! Came up behind me.

And then I saw so pretty tail lights haha. Mine is a stock manual, chrip in second ftw!

I hardly ever have anyone in a sports car try to race me. However, I get cut off and chased around all the freaking time (even considering how people drive on the beltway) by jerks in regular cars. I was being actively, and aggressively, pursued through traffic by a dump truck last week. My best friend has a white BR-Z and posits that this happens to me so much more than him is that my FR-S is orange.

Are people blasting music or doing something that draws attention all the street racers?

Never been challenged in any of my cars.

The TT's well that's not even fair lol. I've had friends that have them, pain in the a** to work on btw. I beat the regular V6 NA ones at the track (1/4 mile) all the time. I just have basics header, tune, e85.
