Only thing I am disappointed in is the lack of including wheels.

Wheels would have really made this release series a home-run, especially considering the price.

I am one of the few who actually LIKE the stock rims (on my colour at any rate) but totally agree they should have done something different to set it apart. Of course different rims would move the price point up a bit but think if you want this special edition then you would be willing to pay a few hundred more.
Was talking with my dealer yesterday and they are not expecting them in here until the end of October. They are getting two and one is already sold.

Stock wheels look fine on our cars but that special yellow color gets muted when you look at the stock wheels.

Plus the car is over $30k, the price would be much more palatable if the wheels were on there.

I just bought my son a used 2009 Scion TC Release series. It came with some kick ass matte black wheels with red trim (yes they were part of the stock release series package). I was kinda jealous.

If wheels like that came on the FR-S release series it would look kick ass.

Actually saw one of those I think! Scions of any type pretty rare around here so you remember them. Was black and those rims did stand out on it.

I didn't notice it until now, but those tails don't go well with yellow.

Ya look a bit anemic. Blacked out would be the way to go.

I hate blacked out tail lights. Tom's red will look good with the yellow.

I have also noticed that the tails look better in person than they do in photos. It probably looks fine in person.

Not usually a big fan of blacked out either but the would fit the bumble bee theme of the overall car.
You are probably very correct in that they look ok in real life. Many of the lines and features of these cars do not photograph well at all.

I vote for clear TOM'S on these cars. You could maybe do a quick photoshop to change this to yellow:

If you need ideas, I just did a quick Google search:

Yup. I half hate the wheel color and half like it. More than likely they will see some powder this winter when the stock wheels go back on. I like the wheel style and fit a lot.

To clarify, I'm talking about the niteshade tinted tails. They just lose all detail... Which is my same complaint about my wheels. You just lose too much detail when black wheels are slightly dirty.
