He's saying that if you pre order today you won't receive the car for at least three months. Not making guarantees of a three month delivery date.

Fortunately I didn't face a markup either in NC. I did face Southern States Subaru who wouldn't pre-order because they wanted to mark it up higher. Now that the dealership I pre-ordered from is fully booked I'm sure other potential owners are running into those dealerships that do use a "fair market markup". You choose to wait and you'll likely be paying more... simply not a game I wish to play! Everyone for themselves! Good Luck!

There is no such thing as a fair markup. Period.

I agree with all the people that say not to take up their offer. I too was about to preorder with them about a month ago but after going through this forum and realizing their "markups" were unreasonable, I just told them I wouldn't be doing business with a dealership like theirs.
I decided to go the Scion route and save about $4000. Plus there's more choices in terms of Scion dealerships to choose from here.

You should write a letter to Subaru urging them to allow for another franchise to be set up in Las Vegas.. To have a city that big with only one subaru dealer is clearly not promoting fair competition for buyers.

This is why I can't stand some dealerships. I would rather wait than to see a stealership make 100% profit off of the markup.

Unfortunately Subaru are not a huge marque. I am sure if Subaru's metrics led them to see profitability in another dealership they'd put one in.

Even in the Bay Area, where you would assume the demographics (ecomentalists, uni profs and students, dope smokers, IT crowd, and the rest) would be a boon for Subaru, there are only about 6 dealerships.

Compare that to Toyota/Scion who have 20+ in the same area.

Hey since I pre ordered mine back in early march does that mean I'll get the car three months after march?
