Series.Blue + Rally Armor mud flaps
As a heads up to others; the rear bumper S.B aero kit corner pieces block the installation of the rear Rally Armor mud flaps. If you want them on you'll have to drill a slot in each corner piece to fit the flap mount. The front mounts on OK, but looks a little odd because it fits over the side lip piece funny.
I'll get some pics up tomorrow when it's not so dark if anybody wants to see what I'm talking about.

Pics would be good. I'm eventually going with the sti rep kit and always wondered about having the RA mud flaps on as well...

Alright, I took off one of the front flaps so I can also show it's mounting better. So whenever I get off of work tonight I'll be driving around with one mud flap on :P

Thought I was the only one that had the insane thought of going with the rally armors with the STI kit.
Shame it doesn't quite work. Was thinking of getting them for use in the winter or if I plan on hitting gravel roads. |

Yeah, I drive on a lot of gravel for work, so I decided to get em. Though if I can't get them to fit under the corner piece somehow I'll probably just take those off.

OP delivers! (I apologize in advance for blurry photos, all I have is my phone camera)
First pic is what the rear mounting bracket looks like. ![]() Under the corner facing backwards ![]() Where the mounting bracket goes. It slides under the metal cross section where that first plastic screw is ![]() Clearer picture ![]() Another angle. It slides inside the quater panel lip as well ![]() Same spot with the plastic removed, and the bracket in it's spot ![]() Different angle (Bonus: Me) ![]() From the outside, plus dirt. ![]() I forgot to take pictures for a little bit, but after I got the bracket mounted I reinstalled the plastic back over it, then attached the flap. ![]() ![]() ![]() http://imgur.com/a/9mf0g Complete album, also has a couple pictures of the front flap installed near the end. Verdict: The flap can be installed with the STI kit on there! You just have to pull a piece off, and then put it back on

Rear spat is supposed to be 3M taped on, so I wouldn't remove it.
Looks like you would have to drill a hole in the bracket and flap for the extra fastener the spats use (or simply leave it out). Great, now I have another thing to add to my list of mods to do... |

Yeah, if you want both secured you'd have to drill a hole, but with decent tape you'll be fine running with one screw just fine. There is another plastic screw on the bottom towards the back, so it's not just one screw + tape holding it on.

Oh, and I just did go with one screw. It's the same on the front flaps.

Ok, I need some clarification here. Why, exactly, do you need to remove the rear spat to install this? It looks like the bracket slides in BEHIND the body panel, whereas the spat is mounted in front of it. Can't you just drill an extra hole in the bracket for the extra screw that the spat requires, then take out the screws in the spat, slide the bracket in behind everything, and screw it all together? Why do you need to remove the spat?
And is it the same situation for the front wheels? Last edited by Stang70Fastback; 11-13-2014 at 11:31 AM. |

@Stang70Fastback No, I don't think you can just drill another hole to properly install it the way RA intended it to be. Drilling another hole changes the mounting point. What OP is trying to point out is that in order to make the mud flaps work with the lip kit, you need to take off the lip and mount the mud flaps using the same mounting points, but with the lip sandwiched between the bumper and flaps.
