This thread just turned into "my car only had this many TSBs this year!"

Both cars are firmly "average" to "below average" in reliability.

It'll be more cost effective to have the multi billion dollar company do your performance R&D for you, and more fun to do it yourself. And that's If track times are your thing...they weren't to the designers of the 86.

Wouldn't go that far... Most of those posted are running LSx's(not to be mistaken with LSX) or 2jz's. My swap personally is well under 8k plus subtraction of me selling my oem driveline and I'm sitting at under 2k of my own money in...

I own both and the FRS base interior is just about Yugo quality in comparison. That said I still enjoy the FRS more purely for the driving experience.

Doesn't seem worth it to me.

Me either. Also that 40k in mods to the 86 you will never get back. The Zo6 you can sell...

I know there is the satisfaction of 'being different' or 'I did it myself', but imo I'd rather retire earlier.

my intention isnt to sound like a douche but i dont think your car is going to be as reliable as a stock vette and i dont think it will be as fast or handle as well either.

To each his own, GM can't get shit right at the moment. But keep track of my build thread in the future as I light up some around my local road courses.

Can't get shit right, except for, you know, being just about as fast as a Ferrari F12 and faster than a 911 Turbo, R8 V10, etc.. And this is the uberCamaro, not even the Z06.

Speaking mainly about their financial state(losing money due to...) and build errors that continue to land excessive recalls, new covette included.

The article said that Toyota is recalling six million vehicles, while GM was recalling 2.6 million. That's a big fraction, and not so much in the shadow either.

I have no idea how anyone can consider that interior better than a BRZ. Just awful and plastics made by Hasbro. Different strokes I guess if you like 1985. Sorry but there's more Yugo and Kia going on there to me.
