Forcewerkz v2 polyurethane lip installation help

Hey all

Does anyone have this particular lip on their 86? If so, how did you install it? Mine came without pre-existing holes, I have no clue on how to install it to my bumper. I ordered direct from forcewerkz, and they provided some nuts/bolts and screws.

Thanks!

Hoo brah, Howzit? The screws that they provided wouldn’t suffice so I took a trip to my local hardware store and purchased nuts, bolts and washers; SIX of each.

If you raise your car, you'll see 6 holes under the bumper; thick enough to stick the tip of your pinky through. These holes will be where you would attach the lip using the newly purchased hardware.

You will then need to mark the lip so you can start drilling. To do so, there are 3 plastic panels you need to remove. Please skip to 1:00 in the video below to see which panels.

With the panels removed, you now have full access to both sides of the holes. Go ahead and have someone hold the lip up to the bumper while you reach around with a metallic sharpie and mark your holes on the lip.

Drill and install using the nuts and bolts. I also used the screws Forcewerkz provided and held down the sides of the lip near the wheel well.

Hope this wasn’t too confusing! \m_

Howzit brah!!

Ey thanks for the advice. My forcewerkz v2 lip came with nuts/bolts and the self tapping screws. You think those nuts/bolts should be ok?

The bolts did not not prevent the under panels from easily sliding back under your bumper?

Absolutely not, I was able to put the under panels back with no problem at all!

I got this front lip as well as the side skirts. Any idea if I should be using any tape or sealant on the side skirts to help seal the drill holes? Don't want any rusting.

I have this same lip. Flew off the first time I hit a chunk of tire on the interstate.

Went back and added more bolts and this time added a whole roll of 3m double sided extreme tape.

It wont be going anywhere now.
