First day of using the OFT. I just installed my UEL headers and decided to see how it all goes.
I had previously logged my car standard on the standard tune to try to get the MAF scaled and have added that scaling into the 2.06 OTS tunes. I am not 100% convinced just yet and I think I am going to be a little wary for a while for no other reason than being scared of what it has the potential to do. Here is my log anyhow - in the log you can see I did 2 back to back 3rd gear 2k-7k WOT runs to see how it looks. Let me know what you think. http://www.datazap.me/u/galrath/stag...4?log=0&data=1 Dave |

looks like you need to pull another 1 degree out of the base timing b advance from about 5000 to redline loads over 1.0 as that knock is pretty consistent. then probably tweekk up the iat vs timing retard to cut in above 86F. |

I read in another post(Can find it if I have to) that the MAF scaling in OFT E85 maps shouldn't be fiddled with. What's the truth? Can I scale it or not? I do not like running 93 after being on E85. lol I'm getting long-term fuel trims of -10% in some parts of the map. KC learned is also hitting 6% consistently in random areas but always while accelerating 5-7k. Pulls nicely regardless and I otherwise wouldn't think anything was wrong.

Hi everyone, i switched over to the new OFT maps about a week ago and did a 3rd gear pull. Can someone take a look at the log for me?
from what i can see i'm running a bit rich and some knock from 5400-6800? Mods: drop in filter, cat back exhaust, oil cooler. http://datazap.me/u/zeppy/oct-26-stg...=0&data=1-9-14 |

But yea, looks a bit lean. Next time you do a WOT pull, include Commanded AFR in your logs -- it'll let you easily see what AFR it wants you to be at.

I was also thinking of switching it to a 91 oct map and running 93 gas, my main reason for tune is safety, not power. I do 4-5hpde events each year and figure extra oct rating would be beneficial? |
