So I ordered mine 7 days ago, and I emailed about my custom artwork (or desired lack there-of), and after a couple of emails back and forth the part was shipped out 3 days ago, so no complaints from me. He was super helpful and friendly.

It is now installed and looks great! I was surprised at how heavy it is, but it feels great when shifting!

i know this is a slightly old thread but kind of annoyed

ordered my shift knob about 2 weeks ago, no customer engravement, send out 3 emails asking for a status update and no response

about to cancel my order and call my bank to dispute the charge
kind of annoying, these Shift knobs seem like some nice quality

anyone know of any other company that makes a shift knob simular to the Grip Tape knob???

Anarchy Motive. He makes fantastic heavy knobs that resist heat really well.

I gave up on heavy knobs, and went to lightweight knobs, though. Love my Raseng knob, but good grief it's a palm scorcher when it gets hot. Never had that problem with anarchy motive or flossy knobs, even in full summer heat.

Oh? I've had the Anarchy Motiv for since January and I still couldn't stand leaving it in direct sunlight during the summer. Eventually I ended up plasti-dipping and casting it in epoxy to mitigate the heat, but while I was waiting for it to cure, I realized I kinda like the stock shift knob/lighter weight.

Maybe my transmission just wasn't broken in enough before, but the lighter shift knob feels a lot more snappy and communicative.

I still like my Anarchy Motiv knob because it's gorgeous, but for the time being I'm sticking to lighter shift knobs.

Ordered mine August 18th... Just emailed, and after seeing this I doubt I'll get a reply, but I really hope so.
Ordered the Grip Rod in red, already matched a bunch of interior shit to the color/texture and want that matching bit that put the idea in motion ... Lol guuuhhhh.

Mine is not grippy anymore. Guess the "grip tape" does wear off.

I fully agree. Anarchy's shift knobs are things of beauty, but yeah... the light weight knobs are VERY communicative.

I think the heavy weight knobs work a little better if you're having to reach DOWN for the knob like in a WRX/STI, but the lightweight knobs work better when the shifter is basically parallel to you in the fighter-cockpit-like cabins like the BRZ/FR-S.

The only gripe I had with my new Voodoo shift knob was that it was still getting fairly hot in direct sunlight.

And, as much as I liked the spun aluminum finish, it had to go. Decided to paint it with Duplic-Color Engine Enamel paint. The paint has a ceramic resin in it which helps with heat shielding (makes sense because it's supposed to be used for engines and what not). Now, it's nowhere near as effective as the plasti-dip/epoxy combo on my Anarchy Motiv at heat mitigation, but the finish is a lot nicer and smoother. Zero complaints here!

So, I bit the bullet and ordered another one. I put a note explaining how about a year ago I never received my knob. My order was shipped today, and I have yet to get an email back. Those of you who were able to get in touch with them, who did you email and how did you word your title? lol.

I've ordered a gripe tape shorty in black for my brz, and I told them its for a brz 6spd manual plus the shift pattern and engraving, they still managed to sent me a wrong knob, funny enough the nut came with it fits!

Going through the return & exchange process...
