intake , exhaust and unichip help?
hey guys whats up? im looking to get a intake but dont which one is best for my frs and im also looking at exhaust systems and found one that i really like made by ark performance but its gonna cost around $1,400 its the best one ive heard so far but i don't know if thats the best for the frs performance wise also i was looking into getting a chip for my car which it should bring me up from 173whp to 383whp theres the link for the chip http://www.unichip.us/vehicle/vehicl...cion-FR-S-20L-

A word of advise, use the search button.
That said, you're better off getting a drop in filter instead of an intake, they provide very similar gains for a fraction of the cost. The exhaust is very personal preference oriented so youll need to do your due diligence to select the one for you. Thirdly, I dont know where you got those figures for the unichip, but that is TOTAL bullshit. You're not getting anywhere near 383 horses without forced induction and supporting mods. If you're looking for that kind of power, youll be spending $5000+

thanks for the quick reply ill look into drop in filters and see i got 383 from the picture they have of the dyno sheet on the website for the chip.

I would go with OFT or Ecutek depending on what your goals are and availability to local tuners and their preferences. |

I agree with the above posters. Do some searching. There are lots of exhaust options and videos of most of them on here. You wont get a huge gain from exhausts or intakes and a filter is much better value than an intake.
Tune wise OFT is a more complete solution than unichip but you may have to get your hands dirty and adjust some tables in the OTS tunes for best results where as most Ecutek tunes come with some e-tuning to dail it in. The best bang for buck will be an OFT or Ecutek tune with a catless header.

I have a unichip. Had to plug in 3 plugs for installation(wire wise). I haven't taken it to the dyno yet but it is custom tuneable so I don't see how Ecutek would be any better. It'll be up to your tuner to determine what power you can make. From what I've seen cruising the interwebs, most all nonstandalone tuning options are about the same
