Without a doubt a headlight swap would involve a front bumper swap, I've measured both
highly doubtful.

I'm only about 10 minutes away from there. But I doubt very much I can get close enough to see the inside of the car.

But I do admit, driving down to see them is REALLY tempting right now. I guess I could go and try and see the seats though.

EDIT: I just read his other post about going to "FR-S Training" and he has confirmed from a dealership they will be red like in the US.

Atleast, that's what he says anyway. It shouldn't be long until we can actually confirm this.

I thought someone measured all 3, BRZ, 86, FR-S lights are the same dimensions. It wouldn't be very economical for Toyota/Subaru to make them slightly different sizes.

For example, I'm sure all 3 share the same hood and front fenders, if the headlights for all 3 were slightly different at the bottom it would just be 1 more thing that is more expensive to manufacture.

Here are some more photos to confirm those red bolsters and red stitching. Spotted in Openroad Richmond Scion Dealership on 04/26/2012.

Alright everybody remember how the guys at the show said 'no red'?

Now when you go to pick up your car you should be all 'WTF is this red doing in my car??? Dude at the show said no red!!! It will cost $800 to get it professionally re-upholsteted!!!'

Then settle for 'only' a $500 discount.

Heh...

Wow it's at a dealership already? I thought it was at a shipping yard - I was going to say that it might be my car so keep your grubby paws off it!

LOL! I've jumped in it, on it, and around it! SO you can take this car - it was dirty as hell so i am sure that when you get it, it'll have the dealer installed swirl marks all over it. The white will hide it nicely i am sure. I am waiting for my White FR-S but at a different dealership. Surrey will be getting their first Fr-S in a hot lava w/ AT - no one has their hands on that one yet.

at the Toronto autoshow, aka, the car just arrived in Canada - Scion didn't know for sure what they were getting. So to err on the side of caution, I think they said "no red".

I don't think they go around thinking "lets trick ppl and be like 'surprise!' when the red shows up"

lol!

That is why I have a "do not wash" order on my BoS - no swirl marks thanks.

I managed to sneak out and poke around a few Scion desks.

Here are some of the questions I asked :

Q - Red Stitching on the seats, will we get them.

A - There will be red stitching on the seats. (asked twice to confirm, answer was yes twice)

Q - Mechanical dif and TRD packages + availability

A - The entire TRD package will be rolled out within weeks of dealership availabilities. Mechanical diff, no info yet.

Q - Least expensive winter tire available in Quebec dealer recommended by Toyota + good one brand name ?

A - GENERAL ALTIMAX ARCTIC 215/45R17 speed rating = Q
Price 205,16 + tax & MICHELIN X-ICE XI2 speed rating = T Price 226,06 + tax

dealer may sell for a better price ! but at least these are those pipelined by Toyota

Q - Swapability of headlights with GT86 or BR-Z ?

A - Easy swap from one to the other, plug and play, modders have been working on aftermarket headlights based on the prototypes, make sure that buying an aftermarket one that the Sherlock code (if it has been engraved) doesn't identify it as a stolen part if you buy headlight assembly on craigslist.

Q - How wide can I go in the back without rolling the Fenders ?

A - 10' no issue
I have General Altimax Arctic on my current car and let me tell you those tires are SOFT. not to mention they make a lot of noise. Personally I don't care since they were ~$70 each and have already been through 3 winters with plenty tread left and are good in rain. But don't expect to do much spirited driving with those on.

I'm looking into buying Michelin next gen X ice tire that supposed to come out this summer
