2015 BRZ HU refreshed w new model number - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I am taking delivery next week on a new 2015 series.blue WRB BRZ, and when I was there, I noticed that the model number is different, and the sales person confirmed that they updated it. I think it's FA645US(I could be wrong, it was very small letter on the unit corner, and I was busy testing the car!).

Does anyone have more info on this new unit from Fujitsu TEN?

P.S. My first new car, will post additional pics when I get this baby home.

If its a dealer, he can rip you off? Where do we check model number xD?

Nothing to do with dealer. The model number is stamped right on the unit corner, and its not fa601us

I think I remember people complaining that the old ones didn't work with Aha, but the new one does. Outside of that, I don't really know...

Maybe it's updated with phrases that are correct English instead of "Bluetooth device is disconnect, " etc

Hah! Doubt it, Subaru and Fujitsu TEN seem reluctant to make any changes/bug fixes to these radios.

Took delivery couple days ago, it's an amazing car.
Get attention with the aero kits for sure.
The actual model number is FA643US for the HU.
anyone got more info on this? I imagine they made some improvement.

FWIW, my 2015 BRZ Aozora came with an FA743CS. Guess its different than the US counterparts.

Post a pic of the Unit, or does it look exactly the same as 2013-2014?
