The wheelbase & height are key in figuring out interior space. Overall length does not matter that much.
The FT-86 has a pretty long wheelbase for it's size. |

I've got a 2+2 300zx and it is VERY tight in the back. I'm 5'11" and my head touches the roof. However, I don't care how many people can fit into it, as long as I can fit in the front seat.

My tib. Is 2+2 at least I don't recall a third seatbelt in the back lol, but its pretty cramped, usually my wife sits in the back if we have more than just us cause she fits a bit better
. I have accudently smashed a couple peoples heads opening and closing the hatch haha oops

2+2 is good for lower insurance . I wonder how big the inside of the ft is compared to an old '86 . In my '86 i had 3 people crammed in the back ,i guess that won't work with a ft .

it won't be going on any road trips for a while... right now it only likes 100 octane.

I think it is going to be 4 adults, although the people in the back seat will be crammed. If you ever sit in the back of a 2000-2005 celica, you may guess how big the back seat the FT-86 is going to be.
BTW, any celica owners here? We might need your help to answer this question: is it comfortable to sit in the back seat? |

The roofline of the FT-86 is much lower than both.

eh, i dunno. i'd need a comparison to really tell they look pretty close to me. and even if it is im sure the seats are set lower in the 86 so it would kinda even out
