My replica diffuser fits with no issues with STi rears.

The mounting holes are there on the diffuser, but it does not secure anywhere in my case. My diffuser was actually trimmed on both ends by previous owner to work with his setup. I have BaysonR rear aprons and this does not interfere. Can't say whether or not the original piece from PW will work with your STi rears. Personally I don't think it will be a problem as mine overlap slightly under the rear aprons which are basically STi replicas. By the way, the diffuser is very secure even without sides attached. They are snug and do not flex at all, unlike the poly and ABS alternatives

Made the difficult decision to start looking for replacements for my BRZ. Having a bum knee/ankle is catching up to me. Driving manual just isn't an option for me right now, if I want my leg to get better. So, the hunt for a new car begins. Test driving a 2015 MINI Cooper S Hardtop tomorrow. FWD unfortunately, but lightweight, turbo'd, and torquey.

If I do decide to keep the BRZ, I'm also in the process of trying to refinance my loan, to bring my payments down a bit.

Why not trade in for an auto BRZ?

Inb4 auto hate.

I have an auto BRZ, which I track and AutoX occasionally. Got it so my wife would feel comfortable driving it when necessary. While I know I would have liked the manual more, the auto is surprisingly great. The only thing I'll really feel I've lost is "driving experience" and launch ability. The shorter ratios would have been nice too.

Auto is certainly not a bad choice for someone with bum joints!

The ride is also a bit too rough for most of my driving (the roads along my daily commute are all pretty awful) so there have been more than a few times where I've gotten out of the car with my back hurting, in addition to the knee/ankle problems. The BRZ just doesn't make as good of a daily driver (for me) after 2+ years as I had hoped when I first bought it.

What about doing some strength training exercises?
I ride a bicycle 100+kms/week and this keeps my weight down and strength up.
Then it makes driving BRZ fun without pain.
