I also originally looked at the blue but changed my mind when I saw the orange. Old school thinking maybe but I feel that sports cars should be "flashy" and stand out in the crowd. Think we are in the minority though as black, white and silver are the most produced colours. (yes coloUr is spelled right)

Real-estate agent was looking at the house next door to mine prior to his appointment, while I was washing the car.

"Niiiiice. Hey leave your car outside while I show this house to these folks, so they know its an upscale neighborhood?"

I had a nice guy in mid 30s driving an Acura TL Type S talk to me while stopped a light. Asked me how I like the car and said he had a terrible time trying to get a test drive for a BRZ or a WRX. Naturally I told him I love the car and it is ton of fun. He said might have a go pick up before the summer ends.

Had a GREAT one last night that really hit home just how much the "average" person does not know the FRS. Was at an event (free drive in movie) sponsored by a local car dealer and they had a new white Jag F type coupe there. I was parked beside it for about an hour.
The very few car enthusiasts there glanced at my car and then drooled all over the Jag (me included to tell the truth).
But...The vast majority of the people were mom and dad with kids in 10+ year old mini vans/SUVs or beater sedans.
I must have heard 50 times "oh it is nice in white but I like it better in the orange" and " no you can't afford it" ( mine not the Jag).
At one point there were 6 people looking at mine and the Jag sat there ignored. The sales guy was NOT impressed and eventually asked me to move!
In all fairness to the people that were confused there is a great deal of similarity in the basic body lines between the two (look up pics if you don't believe me) and both even have the inset in the front fenders.
Of course doesn't even come close to fooling anybody with even a remote knowledge of cars but those people are fewer then you might think in the general public.
So the moral of the story is if you want to impress the "non car crowd" go buy yourself some stick on hood vents, a couple of knock off plastic Jag emblems and remove the R & S from the back of your car! Sorry BRZ owners you will have to find an F to stick on there.

UMMMM Thanks? Not sure what or how that makes it "clear" but I already have 4 posts on that thread. Considering it was started back when the cars were new and pretty rare this thread seems a little more appropriate now.

In rereading that after hitting save it sounded a lot like I was being a sarcastic jerk! Wasn't the intent I really don't get what was supposed to be "clear"

The most recent post in that thread is today. I think THAT is more appropriate.

After I park, I still look back and think how great it looks. That's the only head I care about turning

Never bought one, but I still look at every single one I see out in the wild. It's a fantastic looking vehicle.

I seem to turn more heads in the FRS than I have in other cars (s2000, STi etc..)
