OP, a used BMW will lower your chances of getting laid, here is why:

Both women and BMWs require time, money and patience. An individual only has a finite amount of the above resources. Hence old BMWs and women are competing assets.

You can either get a lot of old BMW and no poon, or a lot of poon and no old BMW.

The choice is yours

Because it's a relatively interesting question to most enthusiasts and everyone on the internet is a butthole or some sort of metaphor...

you need to rob a bank for that.

OP, if you want something faster yet fun. I'd consider an used Sti. 2004-2005 Sti looks hot to me.

Recently found an e46m (special order), stickshift, no sunroof, m-cloth seats, and no stereo option 40K miles for ~ $22K.

Add 300M vanos hubs and reinforce subframe mounts for 2-3 grand, put on some Volk ZE40's & ohlins coilovers, and you got an awesome car that will command a premium in the future, because chances are, subsequent M3s will be 4000lb automatic boats with no ITBs.

I don't have an FRS, or BMW sooo....

Let me say this: TO ME bmw automatically means "I am an attention whore asshole. I own the road. I don't give a shit about anyone."

I know this isn't true for the majority of drivers, and BMW does make good cars, but still...you really want the rep that goes with driving a BMW?

Yes

In this cruel world of rednecks in lifted pickups and muscular domestic fans with mullets...it sometimes helps to come off as a douchebag.

Yes, people say youre a douchebag, but at least they move over to the right when they see the angel eyes and double kidneys gaining on them in the rear view mirror.

Let's throw in Mercedes C180 just to shake things up. You can pretend as if you are some sort of executive especially if you change the lettering from 180 to 300. You can also pull the C and replace with S.

I think you can get them off eBay. Or if you want to save money, just rearrange the 180 to 810. That way people might think you have special limited edition C class with 8000cc engine inside.

When you hit on the ladies just tell her : hey babe on the way here just now I just drag raced a bugatti and won. That's because my merc has 8000cc VTEC engine. You wanna go back to your trailer?

just because you can afford a 5yr old BMW doesnt mean you can afford the maintenance of a 5yr old BMW after warranty runs out.

i came from a 2008 e92 328i. definitely wasnt the fastest but it was a fucking blast to drive while having all of your typical "european-niceness." when things needed to be updated it would cost almost a $1k each time which wasnt that bad since mine didnt really have constant problems so the cost wasnt an issue for me. it was the principle that bothered me. i didnt want to have to deal with $1k+ maintenance costs each time i had to do preventive maintenance or when something broke. after it being 6yrs old and putting 89k miles, i had my share of fun out of the car and no longer wanted to deal with it.

but thats the thing about used BMWs. they are now someone else's problem. if you want the car to look like some kid who can "afford a BMW" go ahead and get it. but you cant say you weren't warned. owning a used german car doesn't end with a simple $500 car note...

Say what? If you mean kudos to having shit on my plate and still playing with the car, fortunately my wife has never objected to the sports car. She does however think I love the car more than her. Pulling the trigger on boost would really be pushing it t though. Given time, well we will see...
