OFT Info

We spoke with Brian (not sure if on forum?) on Friday night about the OFT, here is some good info on it from @steve99:

from here:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...1&postcount=17

OFT come with free tunes for variety of mods

read link below

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71157

and you will be sorted

Aftermarket Bits - gains aproximate i'm probably being as bit conservative

Intakes - Stock intake is good - add drop in filter for 2 or 3 HP at expense of filtration possibly.
CAI- aftermarket intakes - little or no gain over stock intake with drop in filter can upset MAF (mass air flow sensor scaling ) causing hesitation/bogging/flat spots- unless you re-tune MAF for intake unless you going boosted leave intake alone spend money elsewhere, most will not filter as well as stock filter especially if not maintained.

Catback exhaust no tune = nice sound little or no HP gain

Headers no tune- maybe 5 wheel horsepower slightly better midrange

Tune only aprox 10 Wheel horsepower gain (WHP) but better midrange and reduced torque dip

Tune plus catless headers - possibly 15-20 wheel horsepower eliminate torque dip better midrange

Tune for E85 + headers possibly 30 wheel horsepower

Completly stock car tuned for E85 aprox 20 wheel horsepower reduced torque dip better midrange

If you want more than that then look at forced induction ie turbo/supercharger.

If your after all the info read links below :-)

Those figures are not just for OFT tunes they are around what anyone gets with Ecutek BRZEdit or whatever some claim a few hp more some a bit less.

Has anyone experienced something like that ? I was at a redlight yesterday and suddenly my idle rose (rise?) around 1500 rpms and there was a crazy noise coming from the engine. I stopped the car, waited 15 seconds and started it again and it got away. Didn't come back but scared me shitless. I am on OFT 91 tune right now but wondering if i should go back to 93, or even run 93 with 91oct in...

Nope, nothing here.
If anything, the OFT eliminated the hunting idle at lights. It wouldn't go up but would drop to 500 or so, then back to 750. After the OFT install, never happened again.

Yeah, I'm on the forum.

Thanks for the information Friday and the summary you posted. I ordered one Friday when I got home but so far all they've done is send a confirmation email with the order number.

Interesting. Just got an email from Scion Canada re; new RS edition.
Nice try, but sticking with what I got.

Looks nice though, the skirt package gives it a raked effect.
