No BOV/BPV
Not enough charge piping to connect what's there.


There is probably an IC. The beauty of the Rotrex is that it's compact and easy to add an IC. That and pretty much every HKS kit has one. So I have to think HKS is including one here.

The rod bolts are offset. In the automotive world they say this is the allow easier changing of pistons & rods, ie you wont have to separate the block. In larger engines, (Pielstick, MWM that sort of thing) rods are designed like that to relieve the rod bolts of some stress. This means those engines don't need big ends that are over sized to allow enough room to accommodate rod bolts that can live up to the strain of decelerating the pistons.

To us, I hope this means that we wont have rod bolts failing until the rpms reach ludicrous speed.

Looks like one is cheaper and unfinished and the other is more finished and polished for show cars. It might also use lighter materials and it looks like it would have a lower profile for lowered cars. These are all just guesses.
