Personally, I think the ship should come to Canada first to check out things up here!

When the Altair Leader dropped off the bimmers in Long Beach its destination was Panama too. PA CTB = Panama

I seem to recall reading somewhere that east coast shipments would be sent before west coast so that they would arrive at about the same time to dealerships.

IMO, it looks like it's going the wrong way to be heading directly towards Panama...

This shows it heading East-Northeast as of 3 hours ago:

The only plausible explanation... All our cars are going to Alaska!

On further reflection, I've realized that my car will likely be coming on the east coast boat. So here's hoping the boat jumps panama and makes waves up the east coast.

Don't you think this boat could be headed for the east coast after it drops off cars in Cali? Has anybody keeping an eye on the Japan distribution center to see if any other ships have left in the past week or so? If there is a separate boat for east coast folks then it would have left earlier in order to arrive around the same time. Maybe all of the cars will arrive on the west coast and will get shipped by rail or truck to the east?

I have no idea on actual costs, but my initial thoughts make me think it would be cheaper to take the cars over land rather than down through Panama and up to the east coast.

Anyone know what it costs to run a RoRo oceanic vessel?
