Hi Folks! I live in Reading, PA and am in the process (Fingers Crossed) of getting an FR-S RS1. I had a 1988 Mk1 MR2 and still have a 1991 Mk2 MR2 Turbo in my garage that I hope to get back on the road one day. Glad to be coming back to the "Toyota" fold. Can anyone point me in the direction of deciphering the 2 letter codes for the FR-S options? i.e. AS = All Season Tires, etc. Trying to specifically find out what EL and HR are. Thanks in advance for the help!

Picked up a 2014 FR-S in June, much to my surprise. I was ready for new wheels and had planned to spend less money on something else. But I came across a used 2013 model at a dealer where a friend works I took a test drive out of curiosity.
It instantly brought me back to my young days when I had an '86 MR2 and later a '91 MR2 Turbo. Really miss those cars. I ended up getting a brand new one the next week. Love driving it, though at times on bumps it's a bit tough on the not-so-young-anymore back. When you're 40-plus, there's less cushioning between the bones than when you're 20-something. Or so a doctor once told me. Still, looking forward to making some tweaks to the car here-and-there. It's good to see the great support members of this community give each other. |

Hey everyone. I’m Sarah from North Carolina. I got my 2014 whiteout about 4 months ago. I was in a Challenger, so needless to say there was a bit to get used to in the FR-S. But overall, I’m more than happy with the change. This is also the first forum I’ve ever joined so I’m hoping to learn some new things from it.

Hello everyone, I'm Dave, and live in Louisiana. I got my new FRS a couple of days ago, after what seemed like forever wait... I'm really good at getting buyers remorse over previous cars, the last being my Mustang GT... However I love this FRS so much, I don't foresee the remorse in my future, It's just fun and exile rating, yet simple... Thanks for all the wonderful information on the site, and I truly look foreword to learning much more.

Hey all, I just got a high spec and im sending directly to tuner to double the power. Wanted to know what this does to the car ? Does oit ruin the driving experience in any way ? Is 180kw on the wheels a game changer ?
