I dunno man, lack of common sense is still telling me to go for the M3 or 911 lol. After driving a Porsche Cayman, I realized that true driving nirvana is a small 2 seater; a 2+2 is for boulevard cruising in style, and the German cars fit that bill pretty well. You can probably tell, I really wish I could swing a 991, they are such beautiful luxury speedboats (using the "luxobarge"/"yacht" analogy).

Remember, it's the slow "almost Cayman" with a back seat. You could hyper mile it, or boost it. Apply all the glorious handling knowledge from the forum, too.

It doesn't exactly hit the price range target but I suppose I could lease one or something like that.

EDIT: Actually, I just found out the M3 has a clutched secondary radiator fan. WTF? Okay, that's too much dinosaur technology for me, that car is out of the picture. The idea of getting one of the Subies is getting more and more appealing. Or the G35 option... I'm going to have to try to find some of these cars to drive somehow.

So I came up to Toyota for my 20k service, and both people that tried to drive her stalled. Gotta love racing clutches sometimes.

I haven't tried this but I feel like anyone who makes a conscious effort to not use the flywheel to take off should be able to use a racing clutch pretty quickly. When I take off, I never have to rev the engine up, I use the gas to keep the rpms steady. I'm putting in a 8lb aluminum flywheel in my MR2 most likely so we'll see how that goes
