I used to work for DHS HQ as a Knowledge Management Officer. Some of that work entailed data mining and analysis using commercial off the shelf (COTS) and government off the shelf (GOTS) H/W and S/W working together on a common enterprise. It was a lot of whiz-bangery in order to paint a picture of the current state of affairs in support of first-responders addressing an emergency. I was one of the better KMOs at my job. Why? I utilized my not-so-secret weapon: open source information. It truly is amazing how much useful and contextual information one can obtain just by poking around the 1nt4rweb5 for a while. Perhaps that is why I have yet to get an FB account.

Long story short: some of you guys would be paid handsomely just by doing what you are doing right now. You think I am kidding...?

That said, nice work in providing situational awareness

I took a look at the last location the Altair Leader was at and it looks like it is also a car loading location.

I looked at the street view around this area and I don't recognize the cars in these lots, but it looks like it might be the kei cars that were manufactured at the BRZ plant before they switched to BRZ production.

So based on this and Moto's post, I am guessing that this location is where the BRZ/FRSs were loaded, and now it is picking up some other cars at the Yokohama port. Now I feel like I am stalking this boat...

Hook me up :P

edit: Spaceywilly - Tokyo is closer to Gunma than Kobe is, also it seems the the Altair Leader parked on the south end of that inlet which is tooled for containers rather than cars (notice all of the cranes / containers). Though I could be wrong and they could have always changed the tooling since the photos were taken (2009). I'm having a hard time digging up information on the area and bing doesn't have imagery at the same level of detail they did for the Tokyo harbor.

The two months it's been since I submitted my order have been the longest months of my life, especially after I got to drive one. I want to go to there again

Very sweet. If you click on that link, go to street review, and pan to the right nice big Subaru logo again.
