Thanks!

If you're in downtown seattle on the weekend, parking isn't too bad if you get in before 11 and there's not a soccer or baseball game. Good luck!
Thanks for the info. We should be arriving in WA Sunday afternoon. We're planning to say around Federal Way & we were thinking to head up to Friday Harbor to visit friend on Monday & come back down on 2nd or 3rd. After that, we're pretty much wing it through lol

Ferry

If you're going to use one of the WA State Ferries (i.e., take on a car), check to see if you can make a reservation. The end of summer (incl. Labor Day Weekend) is going to be horrendously busy. If no reservations are available, you could be in a situation where you have to wait HOURS to get a spot on a ferry (w/vehicle). (Walk-on shouldn't be an issue...).

Should be a great weekend to visit the greater Seattle area! Enjoy!

When I was up there for an Amazon interview, I went to some sushi place near the stadium downtown. I don't remember what it was called, but I found it on Yelp! and it the food was superb. Just as a comparison, I used to live in Okinawa, so I compared it to that. I'll see if I can find the name again, but they also had a somewhat hard-to-find beer from Okinawa that goes great with the sushi.

Just FYI Okinawa don't have real sushi. They have tropical fish sushi. How do I know this? Cuz I'm half Okinawan, so I have right to say that lol

But prob Shiro sushi every here is saying

Should probably tell you to check out the Uajimaya store for all the JDMAF edibles, conveniences and sake.

Another thought is Ivars Salmon House on the north side of Lake Union under the I-5 bridge.
Seattle legend, landmark and chowder. Alder cooked Salmon. Get some.

Paseo is a wonderful place to go for a killer sandwich (I'm all about the pulled pork)

I also love Rumba if you are in the Capitol Hill area (Mojitos! Need I say more?)

As far as things to do, I agree with the Olympic Sculpture Park mentioned earlier and want to suggest Woodland Park Zoo and the locks/botanical gardens in Ballard as well.
