Somebody dented my FR-S - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

It's a sad day today... I parked my FR-S on the curb the other night and from the looks of it, somebody (likely the neighbors directly in front) dented my beautiful FR-S, likely by backing into it. Is there anything I can do? Like look for matching scratches on their vehicle? Should I call the police to file a report?

Also, does anyone know how much it would cost to repair? The damage is on the front left quarter panel. The dent stretches down from just below the 86 emblem down to the scratch.

The scratch on this SUV is suspect, but it's kind of high up on the vehicle given where the scratch is located on my car.

The dent should be able to be removed with PDR

~$80-150 bucks (at least thats the goign rate around here dpending)

The scratch, depending on how bad may be able to be buffed a bit to look better or may need to be touched up/repainted.

PDR and have a pro buff the paint. Should look 99.9% like new.

I've had so many dents removed from my car already. That doesn't look like you'll need to file a claim.

Find a local PDR shop and have them remove it. Usually about $50-$100 where I'm located. It should only take them about 30 minutes.

As far as the scratch, if it's just a mark over the paint then try buying some scuff remover from Auto Zone. I bought the one in an orange bottle called NuFinish I believe, and I was able to get some pretty bad scuff marks off of my paint.

If your paint is damaged then just hit up the dealership for a bottle of touch up paint. I think the touch up paint costs about $15 for the bottle. More dealerships carry it in stock.

If the paint looks like it needs more than a little touching up then take it to a shop and see if they can buff it for you, or look in the DIY and do it yourself.

Sorry to see the damage

No more damage than you have, this is highly unlikely the culprit, but you never know. It looks like they scraped a pole with their bumper and continued to back right into it if you follow the scrape.

It takes a pretty good impact to dent a fender that much.

It's hard to see in that pic, but this whole area has been dented in. It shouldn't be a problem for PDR right?

Hard to tell in the pic but the "scrap" looks more like paint transfer from the other vehicle? If that is the case then look for a light coloured bumper with dark on marks on it.

OK saw the new pic and that is one weird dent! that is a pretty broad area and strange pattern for a bumper hit!

If it was that SUV it would not have more damage then your FRS thats an Expedition your car would have buckled like an aluminum can

Hmmmm ... Anything with a tire mounted on the back? That would give the big dent at top and smaller dent with scrape at bottom I would think!
