  • clamps to prevent leaks
  • bumper removal and oil cooler install (since jacking and air box removal involved)
  • Koyo Radiator install and adding coolant
  • putting back the stock air box and test run to see everything works fine
  • without putting back bumper remove the box again (2 mins job)
  • started installing the KW kit

Did you keep that hard line that bolts to the front of the engine installed with the kraftwerks kit? I know the KW kit uses those two holes as mounting points so I just wanted to check for a fellow member.

Which hard line are you referring to? the oil cooler bracket that stays behind the KW kit?

The metal hard line that screws to the front of the engine in this picture. You have it attached to the molded hose, but not attached at the bottom.

oh ok I think this is the one you are talking about

so yeah, it stays there and the KW bracket uses the same holes you simply replace the bolts with the one that comes with the KW kit and the metal lines stay there like a washer

Below parts have been installed at Pat's Autosport (Auburn, WA)..
  • Perrin and Whiteline Bushing combo (WL Positive gear and Perrin Rear shifter bushings)-
  • Whiteline Rear subframe bushing inserts

FYI, Pat is a great guy, honest, very quick and knowledgeable. he is coming from a racing background (Motox, gokart, road racing ..etc) so we ended up spending hours (car talk) at his place and he built many race cars and has this beautiful E36 M3, it was nice to hear some good feedback from an experienced guy..coincidentally, forum member @rice_classic was bringing his car to Pat's that day so I stayed a little longer to say hi

I can definitely recommend him to everyone who's looking for a good, reputable mechanic

Perrin rear shifter bushing

Whiteline positive gear bushing (tranny support)

I forgot to take pictures of the rear subframe insert bushings

I have to mention after the rear shifter and transmission support bushings my shifts feel a lot more precise (no ill effects of the Short shifters) .. I couldn't notice a big improvement in the rear after the rear subframe insert bushings but I also didn't push the car .. I have two track events scheduled this month so I will get a chance to share my opinions on them

Just go to straight Hoosiers. They last quite long without heat cycling so quickly.

"Hoosiers are the best" many people say but I also hear these tires provide about 90% of the Hoosiers performance at 70% of its cost and last longer so I wanted to try them out if I don't like them I might try the R6s next time ..they've also released the new R7s I think
