I got my car tuned yesterday, and my butt dyno says that the torque dip is still there. However, it seems to end sooner and pulls much harder when it's done, so no surprises.

Tomei EL headers, overpipe, frontpipe, and 60S catback

So what's the general consensus?

..so far, it sounds like it doesn't make much power and not as much power as the Ft86sf and Nameless headers?

If you do a bit of research you can easily see that with N/A type mods it's a "give and take" solution. You will lose at some part and gain else where. Often times the UELs will gain more in the torque dip than EL.

Before buying this header I did a huge amount of research in terms of power etc. You'd be surprised how similar most headers actually fall even though they're advertised otherwise.

I have the Tomei UEL, Perrin CBE and Vishnu stage 2. I feel no dip where you would expect a dip

I would but I don't have a decent camera, only an iPhone to shoot with. And even then, we all know that iPhones don't have the best camera quality or mic so I don't know if I should even bother doing an in cabin video. I'll try to make a short in cabin cruising clip in the coming days, but believe me that it's super tame at cruising speeds (no drone).

My header just came in. Ordered Aug 13th from FT-86 SpeedFactory.

Weird thing, it came with a piece of candy. Laffy Taffy.

heard a UEL fitted on an otherwise stock exhaust system last night. idle and cruising are very quiet but once you step on the gas the car sounds great. nice and deep and not loud at all. its quieter than a Perrin header back with non resonated CBE.

i love it!!!

Hi all, does O2 spacer work on these 2 headers?
I know without a cat will throw a CEL, but will the O2 spacer really get rid of that?
does this apply to the UEL header as well? thanks!
I am not looking to get a tune. hope to keep the ecu stock. thanks.

O2 spacer is a hit or miss thing. You might get it, you might not get it. It is the same with every other header(maybe except for the catted ones). It's best to get a tune to get rid of the CEL.

Tomei EL and UEL Headers Teaser!

So helped a friend install Tomei uel last night, Berk muffler delete, oft stage 2. Holy crap sounds like a beast I have never wanted anything as bad as I want my Tomei UEL right now.

I hated driving my car this morning after that the test drive. Sound clips to come soon if he won't do it I will.
