has anyone seen an aftermarket trunk garnish with no pin holes in the OEM paint colors. I found a carbon fiber one with no pin holes but I'm not huge into carbon fiber.

Is there a clean way to do this WITHOUT a heat gun or hair dryer? I own neither, and am an apartment dweller. No outlets anywhere near where my car is parked.

How long would you guys say we have to re-badge before it becomes an issue with the paint fading, etc.?

I removed mine 2 weeks ago after being left outside for 2 years. I can't see any difference after I polished and waxed.

"FR-S" badge removal"
Did this today for the "FR-S" badge on a '13 sold in late 2014 with 6k mi now. Bought a "lil chizler" tool as mentioned on this thread from a local tint shop. Used a hair dryer on low and finished with goo gone and shop towels. It worked great thank god!
It was a good thing I didn't wait any longer because the FR-S badge was starting to rust and left a couple minuscule drops on the paint. They came out with paint cleaner. No fading, much cleaner, easier to wash with a sponge too! |
