Ain't my sister.

Anyway that's sad and I hope the assailant is duly punished. And deprived of narcotics.

congrats, man. having a kid will change your perspective. it's one thing to be idealistic, but we don't live in a utopia.

i think that real 'justice' is people receiving what they dish out. cruel and unusual crimes deserve cruel and unusual punishments.

my personal experience with domestic violence comes from seeing my parents fight violently (mother trying to beat up my dad) for years until their divorce when i was about 9 or 10. i had a scar on my chin when i was 7 from the tip of a kitchen knife breaking off and flying at me, from my mother trying to slash my dad and hitting the knife on the counter.

when i was 7, my 4-year old, cute-as-a-button cousin was battered to death by the baby sitter (who was obviously mentally deranged. but like so many others, you don't see the signs until they snap). i still remember looking at her in her small, white casket - she was the first dead person i'd ever seen.

my wife and i have supported/contributed to this non-profit organization for the past decade, that helps people who have experienced domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault and intimate partner violence:

bring your child up with ideals, but also make sure they're aware of reality both within and outside their immediate environment.

sorry, should be titled "Pray for a sister/girlfriend/masseuse/neighbor/babysitter/step daughter/amateur/virgin"

Seriously though, no girl deserves a beating like that.

What a horrific and awful thing to have happen - looking over the list of the bodily injuries she sustained, that is an unadulterated act of attempted murder.

I hope she'll be able to recover, and can somehow put this mess behind her after that, and that the guy is caught and dealt with with the severity that he should be given the situation.

wait a minute..did they find out what she said before the beating? no beating just magically falls from the sky.. jk , but her bf's history should have been a red flag from the start as 'tromatic' posted. He also joked about killing her last year when he got the tat of her name on his neck so...hopefully she finds someone worthy of her.

BRZ Fan Christy Mack was beaten

First, you all are a bunch of ****s, to be blunt. I say that lovingly.

I don't care what your opinions are about domestic violence being under-recognized when the woman is the perpetrator. You're probably right. But first rule of crime with a victim is that it is extremely classless to use that event as a cue to bring up the opposite side of the story. Steven A. got his ass handed to him for awhile at ESPN for even suggesting that a woman learn self-defense and do their best not to provoke after the Ray Rice situation. Timing and context are key. He would have never gotten busted for waiting a few months and starting a charity to help fund self defense and anger management classes for women.

If you want to go start an awareness foundation, or a separate thread, or share experiences close to you in another venue, I think that is great. But let's show a little respect to a victim of a terrible crime when discussing a specific incident like Christy Mack's situation.

Just my two cents. Ok, I love you all again. Just try not to be stupid

Didn't read this entire thread...but UFC fans/people/scene are all dbags. I have friends that are fans...they're all asshles, dckhds and/or dbags. I really find it pathetic that everyone in SoCal is into UFC. It's very lame. Makes me miss NorCal and the east coast even more since there there isn't a widespread mainstream trendy UFC scene.

I wish they'd put everyone into UFC, all participants and all fans, into a gas chamber and kill them all. The world would be a better place.

I know there's plenty of UFC fans here most likely...So, nothing personal...just change your interest or shoot yourself
