Keep in mind this actually helps your rings seal, and also reduces pumping losses.
He knows. Trust me we've already beaten this well into the grave.

You keep telling yourself that and that it isn't for emissions reasons.

This. Like I told him, it is his decision to make whether he wants to run a vented or a non a non vented/check valve to keep from pressurizing the crankcase when in boost.

Sorry if this was talked about but I didn't see it in the search. How bad is the whine on this supercharger and is there a way to reduce or eliminate the noise?

It's not loud at all. Sounds perfect IMO

I recommend you hear it in person. You will barely hear it at idle (if you know what to look for), and slightly when you're cruising, if you have a stock exhaust, windows up, radio off.

If you're sitting at high RPM, but part throttle, waiting to start a pull, you'll definitely hear it (sounds like a turbo spooling without the dump tube)

It's a beautiful sound though... lol

Wanted to say thanks to Oscar Jr and Sr for helping me fix my oil cooler hose problem. The problem was due to my install error, nothing wrong with the kit. I took some time off to go visit their office, spoke to both Jr and Sr for about an hour (great guys) and they replaced my hose for free! Excellent service and great attitudes. Thanks guys.

The CSG BRZ passes by there somewhat regularly on its way to the track for testing...

passes through ventura county? I would think that would be out of the way for most racetracks. Or are you referring to chuckwalla?

We have finally gotten around to posting some results on the Jackson Racing Supercharger Kit Tune we did versus the CARB tune provided by Jackson Racing, versus stock.

The Jackson Racing tune surprisingly is a good tune right out of the bag, though our customer did mention it had a very light hesitation under partial throttle, light load in the low to mid power band, 3000-4000 RPM. As mentioned by our customer we took it for a quick spin to replicate the issue and did notice it a bit, not a lot, but it was noticeable, so that was something we made sure to focus on.

So after the tune there really was not much room for improvement in power, but we did manage to get a few more horsepower on top and torque in the mid range on 91 octane. But I will say on 7 PSI there is only so much you can do to make power and wish there was more boost to make more power.

In any case we did manage to remove the hesitation issue the customer was speaking about by switching to a pure speed density tune and that allowed us to add FlexFuel into the tune very easily by using the MAF sensor voltage input. This keep installation of the FlexFuel kit easy (basically all you need to do is pop your hood and install) and that allows all your readiness monitors to complete properly for smog.

Cheers,
William Knose

I've had this question come up a lot of times, regarding the PCV system, and catch cans.

***The Jackson Racing Supercharger system includes a one-way metal check valve for the rear/passenger PCV. The kit is *complete* and no additions are needed.

For track applications with stickier tires, we recommend putting a catch can in-line with the hosing that connects the crank case to the intake piping.

Hey guys I'm definitely interested in the JR SC, but have been looking everywhere for header compatibility. I will be doing a full exhaust mod and really like the JDL EL header but have seen a couple posts warning that it may not fit with Rotrex SCs like JR or KW. Anyone have or know someone who has a JDL or other EL headers that pipe up by the pulley system?

Only one way to find out... but unless the header goes REALLY high, it should fit. We're talking stock airbox level high.
