@Dimman so I'm thinking about my 996 desires again, and I'm having a serious dilemma.
I'm probably selling the MR2 in a year or two. Hoping some company comes out with a reasonably priced small MR car in the next 10 years, if not I'll get another Spyder and mod it like crazy. So in place of it, what car to get...assuming owning a car is a possibility where I go after graduating. Common sense says get something Japanese that doesn't break. Honda cars have good engines but everything else about them is wrong, other than the NSX which I have no money for. An E46 coupe is in some ways a smarter choice than a 996, but seeing how the more I read about the 996 the more I feel uncomfortable with Porsche's crappy engineering choices, I don't want to start reading about BMW's probably worse ones. I used to think Toyota sucked because the K series are better than any Toyota I4 in every single possible way, but then I discovered German engineering... Hmmm...a new 991 would sure be nice. Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket. |

Just paid off the balance on our Mortgage! Hasn't fully sunk in yet, but I already feel 50lbs lighter...

I feel like it's okay to drive the shit out of a 911 because they're all the same anyways, and you can just buy a newer one that looks exactly the same as the old one. The problem is that those damn Germans can't figure out how to not make a car 10% heavier and have 50% more components than necessary. The 981/991 are a big improvement but I still can't figure out how the Cayman is a 2900lb car, even though it is kind of a fatty lengthwise. You'd think that the aluminum body, all the removed hoses from having electric PS and AC, etc. would make up for the extra 2 cylinders it has over your typical 4 cylinder compact. |

so tonight sucked. took a nap, and woke up unable to breath (happens very rarely, maybe 1, 2 times a year). couple hours after that, i figured i'd make some dinner. beefaroni with cheese melted on top. as i was going to my spot (where i always eat. i can sit and watch more netflix!) my dog decided she wanted to run under me and get stepped on. fell pretty hard onto the arm of the chair, and getting melty cheese and beefaroni sauce on a carpet that my parents had for longer than i've been alive. add to that, 3 minutes later i broke a thick plastic plate, and this shit has sucked hardcore.
if i didn't have to wake up early for work tomorrow, i'd be drunk playing video games.

Damn, I know that feel. I have a towel that my parents had before I was alive, and it's kind of deteriorating and it makes me sad

Decided to pull the trigger on a 2015 (preferrably) or 2014 (shagginwagon) STI. I want the BRZ so freaking bad.... but I need the practicality. An STI I feel is far from a bad compromise.
