you know they designed the car themselves right? thats the whole point of buying from TRD instead of say Greddy.

And some people were saying 18 inch rims were too big...now way..its about perfect. I think even 19 inch rims will fit, but 18 is the sweet spot.

I think 17 inchers will be the sweet spot, 18 and 19 will be pushing your comfort and will need a more serious drop to look right-
remember this car is pretty small!

I like the door strikes and nothing else!
You'd think with this little motor TRD would make a sick SINGLE exhaust-
not that heavy monster
!

I want to see track times for cars with all the TRD crap on them and if they're noticeably less, or is it all overpriced plastic.

I am no stranger to the TRD sticker effect on Tacos and how calling Bilstein shocks, a Pep Boys cosmetic chin guard, TRD air filter, stickers here and there a "TRD tuned suspension package" suddenly adds 3k to the price.

Also, lowering a car usually only adds cosmetic effect. Engineers have already optimized the suspension for the roll center, and messing with that just makes for amusing antics on the track.

If anything I'd like to see the clowned out "JDM Dureefto" cars take a spin against a bare bones stocker and see how badly they do.

The stock dampers have been replaced with adjustable TRD items that, thanks to lower and firmer springs drop the car by 15 mm, an already evident improvement on the normal ride height. Along with stiffer front and rear anti-roll bars the whole suspension has been fine-tuned to offer more precise handling and dig deeper into the capabilities of the brilliant chassis. The TRD guys let me take the 86 out onto the handling course that was set up and I was literally blown away by the changes these seemingly simple modifications make. Compared to the stock 86 the TRD was very flat through the turns and had a much more predictable and smoother brake away point when the tires lost grip and the rear end broke loose. I was also able to carry a good 10-15% more speed through the tight second-gear slalom section…

i tought you were supposed to ask if you are 18 or older before you show all this sexyness on the internet lol. if that strut bar is real carbon fiber wich i highly doubt, its gonna cost an arm and a leg cause toyota parts are made with gold and other rare minerals thats why they cost so much.

if they made a hatch out of carbon fiber and lexan glass and used these door stabilizers on the hatch then that would eliminate the whole hatchback decreases stiffness/increases weight problem.

It is real carbon fibre (perhaps even CFRP), why would you think otherwise lol. It's not like TRD parts are cheap...

Exactly my point. One good example is that on one of those japanese show, raced a stock sti impreza vs tuned sti with coilovers, and stock sti was able to beat the "tuned" sti flat out. That does to show that not-engineered parts are garbage.

I wonder how many colors those calipers will be offered in... would be sick if you could get them in black.
