ST XTA Coilovers

http://ft86speedfactory.com/st-suspe...e97a7db977b231

Check these out. Look nice. Anyone have any experience with the XTA line? Looks like a KW V2....

"For those who demand the absolute best performance comes the ST XTA coilover."

The marketing force is strong with this one.

Lol.... Show me a coilover brand that doesn't do this.....

Seems like they are a brand new line as no one has any reviews of them..... Anywhere.....

Maybe i'm a little late to help out here :p
But i'm looking in lowering my car so i contacted a really good suspension installer shop who told me the ST suspensions are practicay like the KW coilovers (they're sister-companies) and that the ST X is the equivalent of the KW V1 & the ST XTA is the equivalent of KW V3 the major difference between ST & KW is that ST is zinc coated where KW is all inox which also explains the huge difference in price! They are great suspensions kits though, at least that's what they told me! & true not many reviews cause not since long the old weitic changed to ST Suspension
But in
The end it's kinda like this --> ST = great KW build quality & precision but gotta watch out if you live by the sea or in snowy areas
Hope it kinda helped out if anyone still needs (or maybe soon need) the info!

Grte

so this is the better version of the other ST coil? ST = V1, ST XTA = V3, how does it perform better? Springs, valving, etc?

Yup, at least that's what they told me
The normal ST is only adjustable in height, like the V1's.
The ST XTA is adjustable in height, damping and has fully adjustable top mounts (camber plates)
To be honest i don't know much about coilover systems, i can only tell you what the shop here told me... So for details on springs & valving maybe someone else can help out...

St XTA would be KW V2 because only rebound is adjustable. V3 have compression and rebound adjustable. But KW don't offer V2 for our platform.

Hmmm... okey Thanks! Good to know!
I know there's no V2 but i though it was ST X -> XA -> XTA just as it is KW V1 -> V2 -> V3 :p
Thanks though

ST needs to make a 2-way adjustable coilover system already (a la KW V3) *crossing fingers

V3 is a 3-way adjustable.... Hence the "3" in V3. Height, rebound and compression.

That's basically a RCE T2 or KW V3. To make things affordable, ST has provided a reasonable solution for the enthusiast that does not require you to find the proper adjustments for your car. This takes a lot of the "headaches" in damper tuning.
