I did, I bought a used '11 STI. Mod bug hit fast too!
I NEEDED something come June and there was no guarantee the FR-S would be available, or any left for the matter without waiting. Not a single regret though! I've wanted a WRX or STI since they came stateside years ago. But that doesn't mean I'm not going to get the FR-S eventually. I will be getting one in summer 2013, preferably a used one. And i'll definitely be keeping the STI!

For me its going to be between this and maybe an 07 or 08. I never like to buy a car within its first year of production considering the kinks that will need to be made. I just really like the design of the Z and the fact that its a two seater so I dont have to drive more than one person.

I've been really eye balling the GenCoupe, It came to a point where I almost bought it. I just love the interior and performance it just feels like I'm getting a better deal out of it since its the same price as a FR-S. But I'm trying really hard to hold off until summer to hopefully test drive the FR-S.

I went to test drive a GenCoupe too, 2012 3.8 R-Spec. Really nice car and they took like $4,000 off the price just to try and get it out the door with the 2013's just now coming out. But I can't justify settling for a car that is (admittedly fun to drive) not what I've been lusting over for almost 4 years now.
I have to at least test drive the FR-S before I can even think about other cars. Well, that and I have to question Hyundai's reliability. |

I've been thinking about the Gen. coupe as well. I go on to other car forums just to talk about it. In fact, I have dirty fantasies about it. I spank it to the Gen. coupe brochures in the bathroom...oooh, just so sexy.
I mean, the only car that even comes close to the pure magnificence of the Gen coupe is maybe a Lamborghini, or god's gift to the automotive world, the Acura RSX. ![]() What was I talking about again? Last edited by Lonewolf; 04-22-2012 at 09:21 PM. |

Yeah I ended up with a VW TDI. Two different vehicles I know but with Gas Prices rising and other things going on in my personal life I had to get something fuel efficient. Hopefully this car is still around when I'm done paying this ride off.

I gave up on the hype and just last week got me a '12 Lexus IS250 with the F-Sport package in Ultrasonic blue mica. I could not be happier, I won't be missing on sunroof, automatic head lamps, HIDs, etc. The car is actually worth the money compared to the FR-S' lack of features and the crappy Scion dealers here in South Florida.

More just for fun, but in the past 3 weeks, I've had Lengthy test drives with the Mustang V6/V8, Genesis 2.0t/3.8, Civic Si, MX-5 , '13 328/128.
For ANYONE thinking of the genesis coupe...and end up getting it, do yourself a favor and NEVER drive an FR-S after..you will regret your decision very quickly. I've had some pretty sporty and/or refined cars...the Genesis Coupe came off as Neither of these...very disappointing. The V8 mustang had a fun factor to it..the Brand new BMW's have lost a little in "Driving Feel"...the MX-5 Was just a blast...but too damn small for a daily car. Civic was a little disappointing too.
