Have you check for the frame recall on your Tundra? If you have and it didn't qualify to have the entire frame replace I'd drop that one over the 4Runner, now if it does qualify get rid of the 4Runner cause the tundra will be like new.

Really good point.

The Tundra was traded in by previous owner and then the dealer put on a new frame on it (the amazing thing is the Tundra does not feel like it has 165k miles in terms of how it drives).

It may be a matter of time before the (03-09) 4Runners start having frame rust issues (in New England/northern states), though I've heard of no problems as of yet. That's one thing I have to check as the 4Runner has lived within a couple miles of the ocean its whole life (as did the Tundra). It also had a couple good dips at the launch ramp.

One thing I'll say, is if the 4Runners start having issues, I'd expect Toyota to back up their vehicles. They've done it with the Tacomas (generous buy-back) and the Tundras. Doubt they'd change their stripes now.

trade-in tundra unless u need it for work 100%, 4runner can do almost everything a tundra can do minus real construction/work.
