I'm glad I'm not the only one. Now I feel like a jerk for not believing my salesman.

My dealer gets their cars from SDC also, I didn't get a VON but they did give me the sold order number which they get from running their Sold Orders Report. The last update I got (3/20/12) was that my order status was 'Accepted'.

Wow, haven't heard 'Accepted' yet, all we've been hearing is wait list. I wonder if accepted means they've started building your car?

sooo, had a bad feeling and decided to call Subaru of Cherry Hill, NJ. I asked if they got any news of BRZ, and one of the salesmen said "it's looking to be about August for 1st delivery"..... wtf... wtf, wtf, WTF!!

They're a 1/2 mile from the corporate office and they're getting it in August?!? And I'm first on their damn list!! LOL ...

Sorry for my rant... had to get it out of my system or I'll start fucking up my office...

Called Subaru of Plano today to inquire about my order. The manager said they don't know anything about release dates yet because of the way Subaru is handling the BRZ, but he would keep me posted. This directly contradicts with the 60 day guarantee they made when I ordered the car last Friday.

He assured me that I would be receiving my vehicle "soon" as I am one of their 17 orders they have allocated. This increased from 15 orders that they mentioned when I placed my order last week. I also asked him about that number being the quantity of vehicles they will receive between May and November. He said that he had heard about that for some dealers, but because Subaru of Plano is the "biggest in Texas," Subaru can't expect their customers to wait that long for their order.

All-in-all, the conversation left me more convinced I will receive my vehicle in November....

They're not though. There's a Houston dealership that's bigger. I strongly doubt that SoA is just going to make an exception for them and drop off all 17 BRZ's at the same time. They're probably going to be getting 3 per month, grouped by which orders were first submitted to the SoA system on March 1st. (NOT whatever list they had prior to that)

I got my VON today, looks like I'm third in line, so assuming July, the dealer said mid June. We'll see.

Edit: Just read further, it was issued the 16th, but says at the top "A hold has been applied to this order," anyone know what that means?

Sounds like more speculation from dealers who are being kept in the dark by SOA just like the rest of us.

Yea, I knew that a Houston dealership at least had more cars allocated then the Plano one. I just wish they would be a little more honest and realistic with their promises. I felt like getting the car in two months was a stretch when I went in to order it, but they made that promise.

I'm really just worried about my Integra lasting long enough. It's on its last legs and I can't afford to be without wheels. I have the money to buy a new car, and am beginning to think I may need to look elsewhere :/
