True, but they are running completely custom MCA golds that run $5k

I may have said elsewhere you can buy Golds for $5k, but there is no way $5k will buy you the kind of setup that car has.

MCA golds don't a price. They are custom. You pay depending on the damper you want. 5k might the starting price but I have read of 12k being spent on golds somewhere.

I've driven cars on MCA worth double that.

No, they cost double ... worth at least triple.

Very true, I meant to say "at the very least $5k" and that's for the coilovers alone, not counting the completely custom geometry/subframe the Nameless guys had to engineer to work with the MCA's.

I guess the point I was trying to make is that these TRDs may be a good cheap alternative. Now say I was interested in purchasing these, where would I get them?

i'd like to see a shock dyno performed between these and the stock ones.
i might consider these for my 'winter' setup.

Anyone know where this suspension kit can be purchased?? Out where I am there are a lot of dirt roads, I need some more clearance or this car is not going to survive!

Thanks

Nobody?

It seems that the TRD rally dampers have significantly lower damping force at high damper speeds than the OEM dampers, despite spring rates being double in front and 60% higher in the rear.

Numbers (OEM converted and interpolated from BRZ damper shock dyno results by racecomp):

Damping force at (high) 0,3m/s damper speed

OEM vs TRD Rally

Front
Compression ~560 540
Rebound ~1690 1250

Rear
Compression ~735 400
Rebound ~1620 1120

Spring rates (kg/mm)
OEM GT86(EU) vs TRD Rally

Front
2,3 4,6

Rear
3,3 5,2

So it will definitely want to sit higher in it's springs and extend quicker, possibly a bit underdamped/more comfy?

Intrigued... might wanna try them if I can get a hold of them...
